Pregnancy Signs & Symptoms
Think you may be pregnant? Read on for the top symptoms that are experienced in early pregnancy. It's important to note that whilst these are some of the most common symptoms, every pregnancy is unique and some people may experience none of the following:
- Nausea and vomiting: Many women experience morning sickness, which is often characterized by nausea and vomiting. This can occur at any time of the day, but is most common in the morning. If you're feeling nauseous, we recommend the Morning Sickness Sea-Band Mama, which takes between just 2-5 minutes to combat feelings of nausea!
- Fatigue: Increased levels of the hormone progesterone can cause fatigue during pregnancy.
- Breast tenderness: Hormonal changes in the body can cause breast tenderness and enlargement.
- Mood swings: Pregnancy can cause changes in hormones, which can lead to mood swings.
- Food cravings and aversions: Pregnant women may experience strong food cravings or aversions to certain foods.
- Constipation: Progesterone slows down digestion, which can cause constipation.
- Headaches: Increased hormone levels can cause headaches.
- Frequent urination: As the uterus expands, it can put pressure on the bladder, causing the need to urinate more frequently.
- Back pain: The extra weight and changes in posture can cause back pain.
- Spotting: Some women may experience light spotting or cramping during the first trimester of pregnancy.
If you think you may be pregnant, we recommend the Clearblue Digital Ultra Early 2 Test, which combines ultra-sensitive early detection of the HCG pregnancy hormone with unmistakably clear results in words. The most sensitive digital home pregnancy test can be used up to 6 days before your missed period. (1) 78% of pregnant results can be detected 6 days before your missed period (which is 5 days before you expect your period).
